Hello just curious about dakota pricing.
I found a 99 dak 2wd v8 auto excab for 7900
miles are great at 47000 clear carfax on it too.
patint and body are great and motor is clean with airaid intake.

anything to look for besides balljoint probs.?

I dont know where you live, but BUY IT! It's a steal at that price. You could easily resell it for almost 2K more.

the truck looks awsome very clean i cant belive the miles but the carfax came back good

On a 99 you can replace them yourself, easy. I even had a machine shop cut the rivets off for $30. BJs are about $70 or less each for tops and about the same for the bottoms..but the tops wear out faster it seems.

You would be dumb as hell if you did not jump all over this deal! In Jan of this year I baught a 99 4x4 v6 with 100,000 miles on it for that price.

I told my extended cab 99 5.2 for 8600, then again I did not have to advertise it, just passed on the payments to my friend from high school and got myself a new 2003 RT. Sounds like a really good deal.

I loved the truck, made me fall in love with dodge, had 6 hondas before it. By buddy towed his Audi A4 all the way from KY to LA in it. Never had a single problem and it didnt burn any oil either. Only problem that I had was the freeze plugs, I think it just sat to long and I had to change them out. No big deal really, 2 dollar part. If that. I only had it for about a year and a half, but again I loved it. The only reason I sold it was because I wanted the RT and I had to the money to buy it, if not I would have kept that one. I did not do any mods to it, just because I did not do the research earlier or I would have. I do have to say that my RT would have killed my 99, but that could all be in the gearing. The RT just felt like it pulled a lot harder.

So you think with mods the 99 5.2 auto could hang with the rt easy huh...? the one im looking at has full dual ext. and cold air intake and chipi think with gears it will be quick

Could it hang, I am sure anything could with the right about of money. But overall the RT would be the best for performance. But I am sure you would like the 5.2 with some new gears and an exhaust. What model is it? I had the two tone SLT, that is about the only thing that I did not like was the chrome and the two tone paint. I like the clean all one color look.

I think they look a whole hell of a lot better, especially if you are going for the performance look, cant really pull it off to much in an SLT if you know what I mean.
