Message: I just installed Monroe Reflex shocks all around. They're much better than the factory shocks at smoothing out the ride and keeping the tires on the road.

Message: I am white american, but geez you guys are very ignorant hicks huh? just because thins are foreign made doesnt necessarily mean that its poorly made. I bet some foreign things are BETTER made than US things, just for the fact that amercians are so lazy and foreigners have such a better wotk ethic than us. Just shedding some light because i HATE ignorant people. Especially if they dont know what they are talking about but act like they do.

Message: Well, I'm a white Canadian. So, I guess I'm a foreigner, eh? Some imports are better, some are not. You usually get what you pay for. I like Monroe and have had good luck with their products. And making a generalization that Americans are lazy only shows your ignorance. There's good and bad people everywhere, but I'll tell you this, the Americans I've met have all been good people.

Message: I have KYB MonoMax shocks. I found them a great upgrade over the OEM shocks. I really can not compare them to others because I have tried others. I hear that Bilsteins (sp?) are really good and Edlebrock are good. The KYBs are slightly less cost than those two. I read that Monroes are OK. They start off as good but longevity is not as good as the others. Just opinion I read. One of the mechanics I deal with swears by Monroes. He didn't think to highly of KYBs. I think everyone has their opinions. Also look into Ranchos for 4wd. Good luck.

Message: for littledak boy or who ever you are. I own a manufacturing facility that most of you would call a machine shop. One of the many repeat jobs that we get from Tenneco is for machines that assemble the eyelet and rubber in the ends of shock obsorbers. I get to talk with the engineers that design these things, and during tryout, get to meet some of the assemblt line people that will actually use these machines to make money to put food on their table.
After meeting with them I can only determine that you must really hate yourself! "Just shedding some light because i HATE ignorant people. Especially if they dont know what they are talking about but act like they do." I beleive is what you said.
I have seen the internal construction of foreign made shocks,as well as those made by Monroe, I have seen the results of long term durability tests done by Tenneco on their shocks
in comparison wit foreign made shocks, If you wanna buy that crap that is your problem, just stay off the roads so that when they suddenly go bad and you loose control I don't get killed by your blind , mistaken believe that just because it is foriegn made it is better.

Message: It would be easier to decide what to buy if there was a comparison study performed or a standard for Shocks to compared to. Customer evaluations/testimonials are ok but can be bias....
Has any performance magazines performed evaluations??
ProComps ES9000 installed here....
