Subject: brembo considered?

Message:
I have read many reports on this forum about break pads and which to buy ( and not to buy - i have heard from numerous people not to buy Hawk pads cuz they scream after a while-) , However we all know the name Brembo, and they do make a total set up ( rotors and pads, with different performance levels) yet no one has mentioned brembo. Why so? Is it just unconsidered due to their higher pricetag and not worth the difference? ( or is there any?) I dono im just interested in why no one has mentionted the Brembo set-up for our daks, and if anyone has an opinion on this let me (us) know, becuase i am considering buying Brembo rotors for my dak. Thanks fellas

I purchased Brembo from the tirerack.com and they are great! I had the Powerslot rotors on my previous dakota and from my experience they are equally impressive. The Brembos I purchased weren't overly expensive, probably within a few bucks of the Powerslots. I went with the Hawk pads and so far no screaming(about 8,000 miles).

One very important thing, the Brembos are very quiet. My Powerslots were much louder and at slow speeds with the windows down it got a little annoying. This is just my experience with the two different rotors and others probably have different opinions. Like I said previously, they both equally improved stopping power! Good Luck.

AKEBONO ceramic pads require no break in and are very low dust. I may try them, sick of filthy wheels.

I to have purchased Brembo from tirerack. The best investment on brakes. I have the slotted with Hawk heavy duty pads. The stopping power is up by more than half and no problems.
