I just bought a 01 SLT quad cab, 4x4, auto, 4.7l. with 70,000 miles, tow package, spray on bed liner, cd, pw, pl, bench front seat,new tires, dark green with silver fender flares, and overhead counsel, for 14,200, was it a good or bad buy?

My 99 Club Cab Sport 4x2 was 14,400 sticker new and I just hit 70,000. Kinda hard for me to tell if you got a good deal or not.

I don't think I would have paid that much with 70K. Bought my 2000 2WD with 38K for $9800.

Is yours SLT or the cheaper Sport, V8 or the cheaper V6, QC or the cheaper club or even cheaper regular cab,
loaded interior or base interior, tow package or no, 3.92 gears or cheaper 3.55.
There are lots of upgrades on Slimy's truck that yours probably is lacking and thus cheaper.

I have the same exact truck, with half the miles. I looked it up on kbb.com (kelly blue book) and it retails around $18K. Look around this site a while for some good advice on maintanance, mods, ect. and she will last you a while.

Thanks guys. the truck is in great shape! I had a guy buy it that goes to dealer auctions. he brought it home and parked it in the drive way at 9:00am and by 7:00 pm that same day he had 3 people call him wanting to buy it. the sticker price was in the glove box and it said $28,500. It says it is a SLT Plus what does the plus mean? is that fancier or what? also does the backs of the second row of seats fold down? there is three straps above the head rest do they help fold it down?

I believe those straps are to tether a car seat. The seat bottums fold UP, allowing you to use the back for extra interior storage. I've had a night stand in mine. PRetty useful feature.

Plus is just an option package. I have a 99 sport plus. The window sticker gives these options as the "Sport Plus Group":
A/C
Light Group
Console-Mini Overhead
Wheels-15X8 Aluminium
Tires-31X10.5R15 OWL All-Season
Fog Lamps
There might be some appearance differences not listed there. But, probably about the same for SLT plus. The Overhead Console is replaced by the "Power Overhead Convenience Group". If you have Remote entry then you probably have that package too.

Well of course you paid to much. I don't no what state you live in but I wouldn't touch it for that price. I seen a 03 with 30K priced a 11 grand.

I paid 13,900 for a oo with 72k just like your describing--when I called the bank they said it was about 500 over loan value--great buy! I bought it that night!

Igot my 98 r/c v8 5 speed for 5,000. It has 144,000 on it but is extra clean and runs great . I love it.
