Message: I've fixed many dakotas with temp sensors on the core support, but one had it on the frame, and one was on a bumper bracket. both trucks were unmolested, and they were put there by the factory. Maybe the years differ? if mine sits idle for a few minutes the engine heat reads on the display. usually goes up 5-6 degrees.
