 Subject: strange reverse noise

Have an 04 quad 4x4 auto 3.7 and am getting odd noise in reverse only...sort of a groaning or slight seizing noise; tough to describe...dealer has it as of today to keep until sound/problem identified and FIXED!...sound familar?

I know exactly what you mean, and I hear it's a common complaint and unfixable or Dodge doesn't care to fix.

"Buzzing" or "whining" in reverse is a common complaint.
APS Precision, www.apsprecision.com, makes a replacement "governor pressure valve" that is supposed to fix this.
