can anyone tell me if the bed sizes in the gen 3 dakotas are the same. extended cab long bed vs reg cab long bed. i was interested in a used bed cover, and was wondering if it would fit my 99 rc dak. its currently on a 00 ext. cab dak.

it is a perfect cross fit. they only made a "short bed" for the 99 and up Daks unless it is a four door quad cab and that is really short. in 97 and 98 an eight foot ling bed was available on the short cabs but did not sell well so D/C dropped it.

They may have stopped making them after 98 but it dont mean i didnt get my hands on my 97 rc long box :) :)
