ok i have a 89 dakota sport 4x4 and when i put it in 4x4 low it only goes like 5 mph and it will run ok for a second then feels like my transmision is slipping? is that normal. it doesnt do that in 4x4 high though

4wd hi is geared the same as 2wd but 4wd low is geared much lower. In 4 lo engine is running about 3x faster at a given speed. I dont think you have a problem, it just takes some time getting used to 4wd lo.

watcha need 4 lo for anyways then. if they aint no mountains then it don't not matter.
