You need to always look for leak in the transmission hoses that lead to the cooler. Mine had a serious leek and I had to replaced the whole unite because the part going from the cooler was starting to leak also. Remember to check your filter also.

As for crappy autos at least half of that is ture. The 46 RH was pure Sh1t and I know because of every day experience with the cog wanting to stay in second and then after it down shifts then its stuck in 3rd when the O/D is not locked in.

As for the others. 42RH and the updated 42RE. There offer smoother shifting points and have a more suitable gears for towing.

Now you can get a 5 speed 5-45 REF auto that is 90% improved over the 4 speed 46RE that it replaces. Also theres a tow/haul for 04 modles.
