Message: Been searching the archives and cant seem to find a recent post.
Any thoughts on Tonneau Masters Hingered Tonneau Cover. I like the convenience of the hinged cover but perfer a soft cover. Have found it locally for 350 or online for 319 shipped.
This is going on my 04 dak quad.
Also I'm leaning toward a spayon line-x liner. how will my rails hold up with this type of cover if I only spray under the rail. Thx

Message: I was kind of wondering the same thing, i have an 02 cc and I wanted to get a hinged soft cover, but the only problem is i have a sprayed on Rhino liner that was there when i bought the truck and it is on top of the rails, would a soft cover tonneau work. Also are the hinged soft covers a good buy?

Message: You guys need to get the Extang FullTilt cover. It hinges with the help of two gas struts. Pop the struts off the ball and socket-tilt the entire frame past 45 degrees and it LIFTS OFF without any tools. Took me about a minute to remove and two minutes to put back on. The mounting frame clamps to the side and front rail without any holes and it took me about 45 minutes to install. The tonneau frame seals with rubber along the top rail and locks from the inside. It looked like it was starting to rub a little so I put some 3M paint protectant tape on the top rail. I ran the tape from the inner edge of the top rail to just where the frame rests. Can't see it at all when down. Barely visible when up or off. I don't see any trouble with installing it with the spray-in liner, the mounting hardware is designed for adjustment to rail design. It comes in snap type and snapless, so, if you're out somewhere, and need to, you can roll the cover back toward the cab and secure it with the velcro ties attached. For looks and convenience, I got the snapless. Price: $329.00 at my local accessory store. The address for Extang is. http://www.extang.com/ Check it out. Click on Fulltilt and go to the bottom of the page for How to Install directions. If you're going to spend $300.00, I think this is the one to get. I've got complements on how neat it looks.

Message: Will take a look at the extang. Still on the fence about the rhino vs Line-X but leaning toward the linex.
Does your rhino liner cover the rails? If not does the extang cause paint problems on your rails?
