My '01 goes to work with me every day with the same Snugtop cab-hi shell I bought new in '93 for my '92. I only had to modify the bottom edge of the rear window frame to match the curve of the GenIII tailgate. A regular walk-behind lawn mower fits with the window closed just fine. 280,000+ miles on the shell and not a single stress crack. It's survived two t-bone crashes as well. The stability of the truck at highway speeds is awesome.

...and one of my favorite features is the telescoping latch handle. It goes in flush with the door when locked, and pops out when unlocked.

www.snugtop.com The shell is waterproof. It uses a built-in rubber boot (no bed tape needed), and 6 "J" hooks for mounting with a 1/2" deep socket. I think one like mine is about $1200 new, now. A correctly secured shell serves as a rollbar of sorts in a rollover, something the manufacturer won't suggest is true for legal reasons, but it helps.
