Subject: Rear End/Brake noise IP: Logged
Message: Today I noticed a rather loud noise coming from my rear end of my truck when I apply the brakes near the end of my stop. I'm not sure if it's the actual brakes or rear end but it only makes the noise when stopping at the end of a stop. Funny thing is I just got my tires rotated today, and although I'm sure they tightened them (I watched) I wonder if this could have triggered something. Any ideas? I got new brakes only about 4 months ago.
PS I have a 4x4 Dakota V8 4.7 2000
Thanks

Message: Hey Kyle-
Get this, I just rotated my tires the other day and have a high screeching sound coming from my front set of tires when I brake at times and even when I'm going slow. It's starting to go away slowly now I'm finding. Also, my steering alignment is off since rotating my tires. The loud braking noise that comes from the rear though is a pretty common problem on all Dakotas from what I've read on this message board.
