Subject: water leak in rear window IP: Logged
Message: Hi just found out where my water problem is coming from..aside from the plugged up a/c, I just caught a river trickling down from my driver's side of the rear window...has anyone just used silicone to remedy this? I would think this would work rather than spending 80 bucks getting the rear window re-installed & sealed. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

Message: I don't know the year of your truck, but mine is an 'o2. About 2 weeks after purchasing my truck new, the rear window started to leak in the same spot you describe. The foreman at the dealer said a lot of them do that. the seal doesn't adhere properly and it takes the right bumb to dislodge it. So, depending on the age or maybe age won't matter, you might be able to get it fixed by the dealer at no cost to you. The way they fixed it was to replace the whole seal. Not placing sealer.
