I found a cable under the rear passenger seat of my 02 quad cab. Is that for the CD changer option, it looks like it might be.

I could be the wire that controls the solenoid that controls the mechanism that controls the lever that conrols the button that ...

No wait, that might be .... nope "Oh noo" is right, it's just your brake cable. I have it on good authority that having the brake cable wear through the floor wont cause a problem until it actually starts wearing through the roof.

Though I did here that if your truck comes stock with cd changer wiring, it will definately beat a Lighting in a race. Since its the brake cable though, I guess you wont have to worry about that. Oh well.

it is not a brake cable because there is an end with wire sticking out of it and it screws on to something, and why would there be a soft brake cable under the passenger side rear seat of a quad cab, inside the cab. It has to be something electrical.

its not the regular brake cable, its for electronic brake controls, when towing a trailer with brakes.
if you dont tow anything, the slack in the wire just works its way back into the cab from the vibrations of driving.
