Message: I would like to find out how many of you out there have high mileage Dakotas and how they are running.
I have a 1988 Dakota 4x4 5 speed with a 3.9L. It has 295,000 km (about 183,000 miles). It has had regular maintenance on it since new. Still has original motor(does not use any oil between changes)clutch and tranny. At app. 200,000km had to replace leaky valve cover gaskets. At 260,000 km the brakes where done and u-joints in rear drive shaft as well as a leaky water pump, but thats they only work I have had to do on it. This weekend I am going to try to get to the u-joints on the front drive shaft. Have a great weekend everyone.

Message: Even though my 95 dakota has only 45000 miles on it, my fathers 94 Dakota CC has 173,000 on it. Still runs great and only uses very little oil.

Message: I have a 2003 RC V6. I love the truck but hated the gas mileage. 16.5 freeway. Put a tonneau cover on. Getting 19.2.
