Try to consider an electric fan conversion (although I believe you already have an electric fan for the A/C anyway). Do NOT use the Flex-Fans. Most are designed for older engines (which have a reverse rotation as compared to ours) and they have been known for "letting go" under the hood at higher RPM's. I've had a Hayden Flex-Fan go through the hood of my old Camaro years ago and others on Dakota lists (not just the DML) have had the same problems with them.

Message: Well, i'm looking for something that looks and fits like factory. Not lookin for a jerry-rig here! :) I'm not scared to get my hands dirty either.
Can you recommend a brand that would meet my
(ex-BMW enthusiast) set of standards?
Is the benefit even worth the conversion and cost?
Thanks!

On the last Flex-A-Lite comparison (HP gains on different fans systems), the Electric was the closet to no fan at all. The clutch-fan (viscous) came in second and the flex-fan and plastic "lightweights" came in last place.
