Mark, said,"So, I am going to sell this truck immediately and you can bet that I will never own a Dodge as long as I live after this. I think I will probably go buy a Toyota or a Nissan and to hell with American vehicles after this experience and the last experience I had with my Blazer and Silverado."

HAhahahaha, dodge, and American company, that's funny!

When I purchased my '02, I purchased the extended with it. The extended is for 7yr/100k and the paperwork states that it is transferable to the next owner for a $150 fee during the stated life of the contract.
Also: just when I ordered it, DC came out with the 7/100 on the power-train and the dealer re-did my contract for me which lowered the price from $1295 to $795. The only negative difference was that the new one now came with a $100 deductible instead of the $50 deductible the first one had.
A trip to FL proved the extended to be very well worth the money. DC/service contracts paid me $1400 for the motel, food, an extra two days at disney and they waived the deductible because the original dealer had put "V-line" pads on my truck under the initial warranty, and it was found that those pads caused excessive heat to the calipers which caused fluid boil and subsequent failure of the rotors, calipers, pads, hoses and melted the grease from the spindle bearings which were replaced along with the seals.
Some of the moneies reimbursed were monies I would have spent anyway, but they covered every expense during the specified repair.
When I do purchase another dodge vehicle, I will most certainly purchase the extended again.
Also: I purchased from Hiller Co, in Marion MA, they are great (the pad thing was not thier fault either, the V-line pads are factory recommended), the two dealers that did the repairs on the trip were Calliri Auto group of Stanford CT, and Holler dodge of Winter Park FL. They were also really great. I had broke-down that second time closest to Bob Dance Dodge in International Park area, but after a "stay the heck away from that rip-off" advice from the taxi-driver the Service contract people allowed it to be towed 28 miles from there to Holler. Note: the experiance I had for the short time I was at Bob Dance was confirmed by the Taxi-drivers advice, so the move to another dealer was not based soley on his advice. Bob Dance tried to talk me into a new vehicle that evening instead of answering my questions about service etc. They are the classic stereo-typical car sales people.
Service contract also paid back the tips that I gave to the various drivers.
