check this out. i put in an order for a 2004 dakota, and a $41,000 fully decked one at that including a chrome package. a week later they call me and tell me the build date is passed and they will not build me truck. i am fuming. i don't want on 05. WTF, don't they tell the dealers to maybe not take any orders if they are not accepting orders. SOB. i even called around to other dealers and they still think they can take orders. what gives? dam i am really sour now. grrrrr.

not suprising , the dealers around here are the same way. I went to the dealer here and tried to order an 03 R/T before they were taking orders. So the sales manager told me he would call as soon as they were accepting orders,.... NEVER HEARD FROM HIM !

My loaded Quad, with 4.7, was around 20K before TTL, invoice pricing, ordered, built etc. in 2001.
HOw do you get a 41K Dak?

41,000 bucks? Canadian? No offense but unless the engine lays golden eggs, I can't think of any options and aftermarkets that would raise a dakota to that price.

You MUST be from CAnada dude. OTherwise you're paying loaded full sized F150 Supercrew/Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab/ Nissan Titan Crew cab prices for a Dakota Quad.

well yes i am from canada and yes i know its a high price but here are a few cost breakdowns

believe it or not i had another offer which was 200/wk and you can minus the tonneau,the bug deflector, the protection pkg, the chrome pkg,the stereo upgrade, heavy duty pkg, anti lock brakes. so i think i got just a few more things for 205/wk. oh well all for not.

Damn Dude! I wouldn't pay that much for RamSRT-10. That's just too much. The dealer is the one that should be pissed for missing a sell like this. Someone was going to make one hell of a commission.
This was a Quad Cab 4X4, wan't it?

The price makes sense. Go to www.daimlerchrysler.ca and build your own with those options. Remember folks, he's in Canada where the SRT-10 is likely $70,000 as a Viper is $100,000.

Who the hell would pay full price for all that crap. I got my 03 for 27,000 out the door (ordered by the way) With 75% of those options +AWD. Ever heard of price dickering? $hit. That is rediculous. They saw you comming.

You have to understand due to good OLE socialism
the taxes are twice as high as down here so next time you vote. Depending what state you live in the car tax would differ but I don't think you would be paying over 2 grand for a 40K truck.

just to clarify things. the window sticker price totalled out at 39,470. now add 1500 for tonneau cover, 1000 for protection pack and 100 for bug deflector. add that and u get 42070 + 15% tax u get $48380. so i paid 35668 in total plus about 5000 for the f TAX and yes the tax is that F high. do the math and the dealer was bitchin cause they werent even gonna make their 500 profit and i undercut them on every option and made them give me every thing at bare minimum. so whatever u want to think go ahead. go to dodge.ca and finger it out.
