Subject: I'm pretty lucky!!!!!!!! IP: Logged
Message: My 98 dakota has 73'000 miles on it. While I was changing my oil tonight, I looked everything over, and my original ball joints are still good!!!! The rubber around them is still uncracked, and still pretty soft! Hopefully they will keep being like this.

Message: just because the rubber seal looks good does not mean that the metal inside the seal is not. looking at them is not the way to test them! try prying them apart and clamping them together, if ANY movement, they are already starting to wear and should be monitored closely.
