I've owned three of them (2 Chevys and 1 GMC) and that's the reason I now drive dodges. The only good thing about a Chevy/GMC is the replacement parts are cheaper when they break and easier to find. Not enough truck for the money. Way overpriced. The only good thing going for them is the new diesel/allison combo on the HDs.

Hey bowtie!!!! FU{K YOU!!! Why dont I run a hemi? The question is, Why dont you run a big block??? You dont own my 440, you cant catch my 440!!! I dont run a hemi because they cost too fu{king much! You run 11 sec n/a. WOW big acomplishment! a stock 69 hemi dart runs 10.8's! This will start an argument too, but its true!! dodge made about 100 of them, so they could use them all for racing! The 4 speed cars were equipped with dana 60's geared at 4.10, while the 727 touque flight cars had dana 60's with 4.88's!!! It was a race only car, and were sold out before they were built! check up on them once. Do I have a super stock 440? Not yet, do you have a super stock anything? Probably not! I do have a 69 road runner clone pulling high 9's is it super stock, no, is it fast, yes, is it stock....NO It is a true 440 with upgrades (heads, cam, intake, carbs) and my car is on a diet! Incase you cant read, Jareds 01 silverado does not have piston slap, it has a BAD ROD!!!!! All 8 are bad because they are in a piece of Shevy, but only one knocks(that we know of) Get a life you piece of shlt! Chevy's are like ass holes, everybody has one, and they are all shltty!!!!

Wow bowtie, are you that fu[king retarded? I was saying that all 8 are bad because they are chevy rods!!!! All chevy parts suck!!!! The hemi dart ran these times with 60 series white walls on stock rims!!!! Some were tested with slicks, and ran LOW 9's, but slicks make them not stock!!!! What do I have done to my 440? I started with a 1970 440 R/B HP had it honed to clean it up, decked 0.001". Kept the stock bore. Line bored, balanced and blueprinted by Keith Black engineering. Used the stock steel crank with eagle H beam rods, and 12.5:1 pistons. Got a set of indy heads with 2.25 intake valves, and 1.96 exhaust. Sent them out for porting and polishing, got headman headers, and 3 inch duals with flowmaster american thunder muffs! Topped it with an edelbrock 440 performer intake set up for dual quads. Put a set of demon 650's on top. My cam numbers are 312/312 .670/.670 with a 106 overlap! Obvious hd valve springs, and retainers. It has a 727 torque flight with a manual valve body. What mods did you do to your little 327? The title for this thread is "chevy all the way" all the way where, to the junk yard????? If chevy engines are so good, why do all TRUE drag cars run CHRYSLER he,i's? Pro stock oldsmobile's, pontiacs, chevy's ford's all have chrysler powerplants under the hood!!!! I saw a dodge aspen with a 225 slant six running 9.5's n/a. It was amazing!!!! It was in mopar muscle a few months after I saw it, he called it the "elephant tamer" Do you know what that means??? If you know anything about true horsepower, drag racing, or cars in general, you will know... If not, we know you are full of SHlT!!!! Stop wasting my time with your lame b/s and go pick on some civic club!!!! I guess you probably cant do that either, considering I'd drive a fu[king honda before a chevy>>>> at least it would get me to work and back, more than we can say for a lot of chevy's!

it seems really strange to me that every chevy guy that comes on here has a STREET car that runs 11s,10s,9s,ect.i might as well throw one in,ive got a viper i run on the street and it actually runs 9s.oh wait thats not mine,its that really high priced lawyer's car i always see running around town and at the strip.my mistake.

hater,the combo you listed is not a 9sec.combo,sorry.the hemi cars didn't run 10's on the white-walls either,they ran 10's on drag slicks.since when does a chevy pro-stock car have a mopar under the hood?if you would drive a honda before a chevy then your a retard,and if i believed any of that post i'd be a f*cking retard like you said.IUVMER/T,what's so unbelievable about having a 11sec.car?its not that hard to do.i'm not claiming i have a 145,000 mile 9sec. car.thats believable?

I'm not trying to jump in the middle of anything but I got a question folks....I own an '03 Silverado and just feel that a "full size" truck is not for me so I'm "considering" an '04 dakota...They're not as "plush" and stuff but they wud serve my purpose. Single and only haul a little...Anyhow, heres my question(s).....Is the V6 decent enuff a truck and wud I be content with it for 5 yrs or wud I get really bored and wished I would have gotten a V8 in like a month or 2 ???? 2nd, same with Club Cab versus Quad Cab....Was thinking of Club cab but "think" I would regret it after a couple months and wish I woulda gone Quad....My Silverado is really nice, I just don't need a full sized truck and don't want a baby one...Opinions welcome and appreciated...Marty

I've had both the 3.9L v6 daks and currently have 2 4.7L v-8 daks. Here are the facts;
1) I've moved with both trucks and while the HP is not much different the difference in torque and gearing can be felt.
2) The mileage is much better with the 3.9 v-6 which is definitely better now adays with the current gas prices.
3) For me, I tow every now and again and like the v-8 better.
4) Both are very good motors.
5) I think for the extra $500 or so the v-8 is worth it, if you don't mind the extra cost of gas.
Take a drive in two comparable trucks with different engines. See which one you like better, that's my advice.
