Subject: auto hubs locked (please not forever) IP: Logged
Message: I have a '92 with 4 wheel drive and auto. locking (but not
unlocking) hubs. I've not had this truck quite a year and the few
times that I had it in 4 wheel drive, had to jack around quite a
bit to get the hubs to disengage. The last time that I used it the
light stayed on and I can't get it to go off. I know that the hubs
are engaged because my mileage has gone down and I also
jacked the truck up and turned the front wheels and the drive
shaft turns. So what should I look at first? Connections to the
shift motor? Shift motor itself? Something else? Please, any
help will be greatly appreciated.
