Message: original rear tranny seal lasted 55,000 miles, replaced it and now at 85,000 it's leaking again.
I don't want to replace it every 30,000 miles and I don't mind spending a couple more dollars for something decent.
Since this is a common problem with daks, how many miles did you get off your replacemnt seals and what brand are they.

Message: Check for a groove in the output yoke where the seal lip rides if one is present see if you can get a "sleeve&seal" at the parts store if not get new yoke and install a new u joint when you inatall the yoke ....check the rear joint while the driveskaft is out
