Subject: INTAKE QUESTION! IP: Logged
Message: I have a 3" body lift kit installed on my dakota, and wanted to put a KN intake on my truck, are there going to be any issues, seeing that I have a body lift? thanks!
OH! one more thing, I was either going to buy a VOLANT intake system or a K&N, any opinions on which is better is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Message: It mounts to the inner fender bolts, and the airhat, not the frame! You will be fine!.

Message: Good point, Todd ! Since those fenders are now 3" higher in relation to the engine, he should have to compensate for that.

Message: You're not going to have a problem because I just put a 360 airintakez kit on mine and I have the body lift. Everyone says to make your own kit (instructions all over the website), but I ordered one from 360airintakez.com, for $145, it's alot cheaper than any K&N I have seen. I love the gains from it. I would heighly recommend giving them a chance before you plop down the money on a K&N.
