Subject: INTAKE QUESTION!
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 3" body lift kit installed on my dakota, and wanted to put a KN intake on my truck, are there going to be any issues, seeing that I have a body lift? thanks!

OH! one more thing, I was either going to buy a VOLANT intake system or a K&N, any opinions on which is better is greatly appreciated, thanks!

It mounts to the inner fender bolts, and the airhat, not the frame! You will be fine!.

Look at Intense Performance. Several posts here indicate they flow better than the others. I really like mine.

I think he's asking, cause it's a body lift kit.

Mr. no, the engine, mounts to the frame.

Good point, Todd ! Since those fenders are now 3" higher in relation to the engine, he should have to compensate for that.

You're not going to have a problem because I just put a 360 airintakez kit on mine and I have the body lift. Everyone says to make your own kit (instructions all over the website), but I ordered one from 360airintakez.com, for $145, it's alot cheaper than any K&N I have seen. I love the gains from it. I would heighly recommend giving them a chance before you plop down the money on a K&N.
