Subject: Screw Holes in Tail Gate IP: Logged
Message: I remove the plastic dealor advortisement badge from the back of my tail gate only to find that his badge was covering two screw holes from what I can assume was another dealors badge. Does any one have any ideas on how I can fix them?

Message: If it were my truck, I'd head directly back to the A-hole dealer who thought it was OK to vandalize a perfectly good tailgate and INSIST that they have the holes filled and the entire tailgate painted (covered by the same warranty as the rest of the truck).
I'm assuming that it's a new truck, but even if it ain't.... it's the dealer who put the holes there, and it's the dealer's responsibility to make them go away (who in hell drills HOLES to mount PLASTIC, anyway).
Whatever happened to the cheap license plate frames? They probably know that we're just gonna throw them away, right?
Sheesh.

Message: Dude, that would tick me to no end. I would definitely go back and, well, GRIPE, to put it nicely. Within a few days of driving all my trucks home, thats one of the first things I have done. Remove the dealer stickers etc. The tag bracket comes off the day I bring it home. I am not a free rolling bill board for someone that I know just stole some money from me for something that I have to have. I dont even have the stickers on mine of stuff that I have bought my self and added. May eventually put some of those on if I am really pleased with some product. Anyway enough rambling, definitely go back and complain.

Message: When you go to buy a new truck, you can request not to have any dealer badges put on your truck. I have done this in the past with success. I would not only tell the salesman, but also find the guy who preps the trucks and let him know. Just in case you have that "failure of communication" at the dealership.

Message: The truck was used, and it was the dealor previous to the dealor I bought it from that put them in, so unless my dealor wants to devulge who they bought the truck from, and that guy wants to tell me who he bought it from im out of luck. I think Ill put some sort of decal over it...
