Subject: Control arm bushings!
IP: Logged

Message:
Hello, I've got my front suspension torn apart (99 4X4 Dak) for new balljoints and bushings, and I just learned that lower control arm bushings are unavailable for my truck! One dodge dealer tells me I have to replace the entire control arm, another one says they are available separately, but one of them isnt being manufactured (not in inventory at any dealership or depot), and the other needs to be ordered still. Has anyone successfully replaced these bushings, and if so where did you get them? I want to put my truck back together! Thanks for the help.

i have a '99 as well. just had it in for all new bushings. apparantly they do replace the entire control arm now. mine was done under my extended warranty though, so i don't know what the cost diff is. if you're not having the dealer do the work, I'd say get some polyurethane bushings - won't deteriorate like the rubber.

Contact these folks and see if they can help. Their urethane engine mounts are great.
