Just purchased a DirectStart remote start sys. from 12voltdirect.com. It is a CS-514/524. Does any one else have experience with this sys.? I am a Mechanic so I will be installing it myself. Also purchased the Millennium SF vehicle monitoring sys.

I'm also a mechanic and I have a little experiance with remote starters and not all good. I installed one in an automatic no problem, then I tried to install one in my Dakota now note this my Dakota is a 5spd. Manuals need a different install due to the clutch safty, making it more dificult had i know this i would have bought it to a professional first since they still had to install it for me plus rmove what i had put already installed :( . Also with a manual every time you exit the vehicle you need to set the remote starter into a SAFE MODE, on mine which i belive is a PROSTART there is like a six step procedure for this.
So if its an Automatic then i say giver. manual well its your choice.
