I have a 92 V8 and recently it has been running rough and the power seems to be lacking.all electrical has been inspected and replaced. is the cat plugged? O2 sensor bad? manifold gasket bad? the mechanic says the belly pan gasket is good and that a little oil in the throttle body is normal(somehow I dont think he is right) can any of these cause the poor performance

I have been having the same problem, I have been slowly replacing all of the cheaper parts first, no luck yet, don't have a clue

To see if your cat is bad, drive it around at night for a while, and get it HOT. Then look under and see if it is glowing! if its is red or orange, its bad, if not its not!
