 Subject: Utility racks

There are a bunch of ladder/utility racks out there for pickups, but since the Dakota has no front bed pockets I was wondering which rack would work best. Not looking to carry anything over 500#...mostly the occasional ladder or a few two by boards 10-12 feet long.
Suggestions?
