Message: Had the same issue when I had to change my o2's.
I ended up having to take it to a garage where the guy could put a little more leverage on it, by putting it up in the air. I had him loosen it for me, then uncrewed it when I got home.
Life would be soooo much easier if we all ahd truck lifts!

Message: I had the same problem. If all you have is a propane torch, don't waste your time. They don't get hot enough. Use at least a MAPP gas torch if you have one or take it to a muffler shop if you don't.

Message: If you want to give it 1 more try at home before you hire it out try this. I have had the best luck with PB B'laster, the can looks like it came from the early last century, and can be found at auto or hardware stores. Spray the part and let it soak in, start your truck and run it for 2-5 minutes to warm the pipe and turn off. Obviously things are hot and there is a chance to be burned so be careful. Again spray the O2 sensor try to get the box end of a combination wrench to fit where you have some leverage. First try tightening it a little, not a fraction of a turn, just to get the threads to move. Next try to break it free, it should move now. Good luck!

used more liquid wrench, then ran it a while to heat up the pipe. used an oven mitt so i wouldnt burn myself, but it still won't move!
i hate to call the dealer on this, so maybe i'll try looking for a local muffler shop.
(venting now)
this really chaps my hide. try to save money and do my own stuff, but end up paying.
the back one looks easy, but the front one is in the bermuda triangle of the exhaust manifold, the tranny, and the tranny pan. prolly melted the threads. actually the stealer prolly intentionally didn't use any anti-seize goo just so i'd have to take it to them to fix. they have a conspiracy against me, you know.
oh well, i never win. (except it IS the vehicle i always wanted, just didn't want all the problems)
:/
thanks

Message: I think you ought to give the Pb Blaster a shot it worked on my truck and it had 130,000 miles on it when I changed it for the first time. Also worked on my wifes Tahoe with two upstream sensors.

Message: ok, tried pb blaster stuff. tried it hot, cold, warm, on cold then heated, on hot then cooled, etc etc.
