Can someone please let me know what the length of the drive tran warrenty is on the 99 Dakota? I'm having transmission problems and need this info fast! If you know of a place I can find this online, please send me the link.

powertrain warranty is 3 years 36,000 miles, 7 year 70,000 is only on 2002 1/2 and up

Dan, if it turns out that the cause of your trouble is the controler (ECM/PCM)you may be OK. A buddy of mine had his replaced (the ECM, not the trans) free of charge when his trans wouldn't go into first and was throwing a code in reference to the solenoid in the trans. and something about under voltage. The dealer replaced the sol. first, then some other internal trans parts (probably to ensure they'd have a good sized bill if the ECM wasn't at fault) then dedcided it was the controler and finaly replaced it. Week in the shop and a free rental because the ECM is covered under the emissions warantee.
Are you getting codes on the dash?

my 1999's extended warranty covers me for 7 yrs 75k miles.
