Subject: Front end loose after bigger tires? IP: Logged
Message: Went from the stock 235/75-15 size tires to 31X10.5-15 on my 97 Dakota. Now it sometimes pulls to the left or right when stopping. And it feels a little loose when driving. Is this indicative of a problem or is there something that can be adjusted to fix this?

Message: It's your new tires. Larger off-road oriented tires have larger and softer side walls. That allows more flex for a softer ride and better bite in rough terrain. But it significantly worsens on road performance. Why do you think a Mustang has 17" wheels not 14"?

Message: If you just put the tires on, it will do it for the first few hundre miles, then it will feel better. However, when you rotate your tires for the first time you'll experience the same problems. It'll be ok though.
