i have a 97 4x4 w/3 inch body lift and i was wondering if i would be able to fit 33-12.50 on 15 inch stock rim. the tire shop said i would have to to go to a bigger rim because the tires are too wide, but i think that i can get them on there

serious, think about it, your stock wheels are 8" wide the tires you want to mount are 4 1/2" wider. Do a visual, what do you think the sidewalls will look like, not only that but a tire is not designed to run in that configuration.
Is it April fools day ? no wait that is next month.
