 Subject: Removing stock air box?

Hey, is it hard to remove the factory airbox to install a cold air kit? There are black plastic pieces holding the bottom- do you have to break these off w/ pliers or something? I dont want to break anything bc I may put it back should I sell the truck. Thanks Alot

No it is not difficult at all. Those plastic bolts will spin off. My only suggestion is to be very careful putting the hose which comes out of the airhat on the breather valve. It is made of plastic and quite brittle. I broke mine got a new one from the dealer for 5 dollars. The entire installation took about 30 minutes. Hope this helps.
