Subject: stone guards, not skid plates IP: Logged
Message: looking for what i now believe to be called stone guard for under the front end of my dak. 2000 cc sport 4x4. this is a piece that goes under the front end keeping stones and debris out of the fan and belt area. If anyone can point me in the right direction, i'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Message: My 2001 5.9 truck has a heavy plastic one from the factory. The 4.7l had one, too. You might try the bone yard or the dealer. Other than that, break out the welder.

Message: as the previous post stated, there should be a factory placed piece of good gauge plastic that runs from the bottom of the front lower valance back to some other plastic shielding. Your not talking about the opening on the valance that exposes the A/C or tranny cooler are you. If so, a trip to your local home improvement store will fix that puppy up.

Message: If you are talking the plastic Deflector with the oil filter hole for the 4.7L the part number is 55056075. I have two in my garage I they had to remove it to install my front hitch. The guys at the Darango Plant in Delaware said it was called a Snow Deflector. Deep snow can hit the front cross member and pack into the engine bay. We don't get that much snow in Delaware so it hasn't been a problem for me.

Message: Mulderig, would you want to sell one? i have a 2000 dak sport cc 4x4 with the 4.7. I crawled under it last week and i don't like the open area there under the rad and belt. I live in PA. Please let me know if you want to sell one, and the size and weight to figure shipping. Thanks.
