Why do the advertisements state "can only use on one vehicle"? Does it pull the vin and verify it before each use ?
My brother and i both have 00 R/T's and would like to share the cost, my guess is they are trying to prevent this(understandably so)

It must work like the superchips programmer does. Let's say you want to add the performance programming to your pcm. You hook it up, it downloads your stock program from the pcm to the handheld unit and uploads the performance program to the pcm. So your stuck now. Can't fix another vehicle until you unload your stock program from the unit. Or something along those lines.
