Subject: what Ply?

Message:
I've got a quote here for a set of Bridgestone AT Revos but I
dont know which is the tire I want...the "LT" or the "P" rated.

And will a lower Ply (3) tire be softer onroad but more
prone to flats offroad.

(will be offroading most weekends this year in B.C)

Thanks in advance

S.

I'd go with the LT if the price is close. LTs often have about 1/8" thicker tread rubber too.

You do know Bridgestone and Firestone are the same tire? This tire recall that Firestone has includes several of the Bridgestone tires. They are junk! Between my familly and myself there have been many Fords and they all came with Firestones (Bridgestones). Everyone of them had to have all the tires replaced way before the tread wore out. My dad bought a brand new 85 Grand Marqui and the car didn't make it home (30 miles) before the tread came off the right front. It didn't go flat. Therefore he had proof that he didn't run over anything. He mounted the spare and took it back to the dealer. He made them change all 5 tires with Michilens or he was going to give them the car back. In Arkansas you have 3 days to return a car.

I bought a used Subaru and the dealer had installed 5 new Bridgestones. The tread seperated on all 4 tires that were touching the ground in less than 5,000 miles. I put 4 new BFG's on it. Then a year later the spare blew up. I was driving down the road and there was an explosion under the hood that sounded like a 410 shotgun going off. I thought the engine blew up. I pulled over and the whole side of the BRAND NEW BRIDGESTONE had blown out. Subarus have the spare behind the carburator under the hood.

I wouldn't take a set of Bridgestones/Firestones if you gave to me.

Of course you may have a motive. This would be a very good tire choice if you have a wife you hate and you just took out a million dollar life insurance policy on her.

I told my boss one day that I had an expensive gift I was going to give him. He said "what is it". I told him I was going to have 4 new Firestones/Bridgestones put on his truck. He wouldn't accept my gift! How RUDE!!
