hey, i just recently got a part time job at Best Buy because I want to use the discount on a home theatre set up. I found out that the car audio and related products are marked up at least 50%, and in most cases 80+. I wish home theatre was like that lol. Anyways, if anyone is interested check out the best buy website and let me know what your interested in. I'll be done buying the stuff i want soon so i'm not worried about getting caught. I can help you guys out by charging a significant amount less, and help my self by adding a few coins to my pocket. let me know. even if it's only 50% percent off, i'll mark it up a bit for my benefit, and add shipping.....you'll still easily save 30% or more.

There is a audio wholesaler website I can direct you guys to if you want net prices on big brand name subwoofers, amps, and speakers. Problem is you have to make minimum order to get rolling. But if you have a company or a store and want to carry some stuff this is the site for you. Let me know.

like i said, you need to check out the best buy site and tell me what you want. I need either the SKU number, or model number so i can see what my discount is. I bought a black widow alarm that was $399.98 list, for about $85.00. I do know that we have pioneer 6x9's that are about 200 and i get them for 50..and rockford 6 3/4" components that are about 200 i get for 80.

How could that possibly raise the prices? He's not stealing it, he's getting it at cost (possibly slightly above, but definitely not below). They're not making OR losing money on him.

they actually do make money on me. my discount is cost plus 5% on EVERYTHING in the store. On certain things such as computer hardware, there is very little markup. I purchased an apple ipod that lists for $499.99, and with my discount it was $499.99. That means Best Buy makes NO money on that item. DVD's, CD's, and software are other items not marked up much. I'm lucky to get a dollar or two off a twenty dollard movie. On car audio, the mark up is extreme. I'd imagine that the manufacturer mandates the price that each merchandiser can sell their products.
Is it dishonest? Sure, I'm only suppose to use the discount for myself, immediate family, and for legit gifts. As I said, I took the job to save some money on a home theatre set up. I've saved over $5,000 on that alone. The only other people I've bought stuff for are my mother, and my girlfriend........that leaves a lot of "family" that still wants to shop. I don't have any other family. Single mom, no siblings....i've used my benefits far less then most my coworkers. I'm not hurting the consumer in any way, and sure I'm taking possible profit from the company, but i'm not stealing. They will make at least 5% on everything. They won't let me buy anything if there isn't plenty of stock in the store on that particular item. That ensures that they aren't selling an item at 5% profit when they could possibly sell it at who knows what profit.
One more benefit for you is that you'll get the receipt for the purchase should you be un happy. It's nice to see some interest in the post, but nobdy seems to want to buy anything lol.

Can you get the Avitar 2200 car alarm? its $219 including basic install. How do I get the free install, doesnt the receipt show your name and employee number? Will this be a prob. thanks very much for doing this and let me know. i live in Minnesota, home of BB.

I have to be at work to look up the discount. I just checked out our website, and I didn't see anything about avitar. I know it's not something we carry in my store, but that doesn't necessarily mean i can't get it. You'll have to come up with a model number or SKU. Avitar 2200 isn't the model number. As far as the receipt, it's a problem for me, but it won't be a problem for you.

Ive got numbers, im not sure which is the sku. I have 2 alarm numbers in case you dont have 1 and 1 tivo. If the Tivo and 1 of the alarms are too much Ill just take the alarm:

sorry for the delay fella's, my "real" job had me away on businees for a few days. I havn't been able to look up any prices yet, but I'm headed there tomorrow to look at my schedule.
elgringo, the SKU is the seven digit number you list second, that's the easiest for me to look up. Tivo is awesome, i just got a dvd/tivo combo from toshiba and i love it. $500 list, $330 my price.
The best discount is on car audio, but feel free to inquire about anything.
Our website is terrible, especially for the car audio unfortunatly. I guess the best way would be to go to an actual store, or just give me an idea what your looking for, and i'll tell you what i can get.
