Subject: 4.10 gears IP: Logged
Message: I want to change the rear end in my 98 5.2L from 3.55 to 4.10 for better towing. Anyone know how much it will affect my top end speed when not towing. What would my top speed be?.

Message: Why would you want to change to 4.10 gears, just how much weight are you planning on pulling? The 3.55 gears with OD cut off should make it easy for towing, check your book to see what the limits are. If you change to 4.10 gears it will depend on where the rev-limiter is set, which I would guess that you could only get maybe 100 MPH.
