Subject: Real Push Bar IP: Logged
Message: I've seen several Dak's and a Ram over these past few days with these 'push bars' on the front that have been in minor accidents where the push bar seemed to cause most of the damage to the truck. They seemed to be quite flimsy. Are there any 'real' push bars out there for the Dak?
I want to be able to 'tap' something and not be worried it will destroy my grill. I've seen sets on highway patrol cars that work quite well (saw one hit a car ~20 mph which bounced the car out of the lane without damaging the hypo car any at all, impressive).

Message: I dont know of ANY good grill guards/push bars for the dakota/durango. However I do know that there are some dakotas/durangos in use by Law Enforcement out there so I assume they would have one. If you could find the company that built and supplied those you could prolly order one, but it would undoubtably be crazy expensive.
I did see a big Texas Brush Guard on ebay recently for $300.00 supposedly was surplus from the Border patrol which uses Durangos. The guy selling had quite a few.

Message: Thanks! I'll go take a look. That is the type I am looking for. I want to be able to whack something without it simply pushing the guard into my grill. Those border patrol units should do the trick.
