Message: a bad crank sensor will do that. but without further info its just a guess. does it do it driving down the road or idleing for long periods and just dies, then when it cools off starts again? I had a jeep with this problem and it took 3 trips to the shop to figure it out because they couldnt get a bad reading from their equipment until it died while it was hooked up. turned out to be crank sensor. hope this helps.

Message: Richard. With three exceptions, the wiring in the Shelby is the same as the 1989 V6 Dakota Sport. These exceptions are the throttle body temperature sensor, fog lamps, and, as you know, the fan circuit. The engine service procedures (and part #'s) are the same as for the Dodge D150 with 318 engine. You should be able to run down the hose in question knowing this. It sounds like the hose that connects to the MAP sensor on the forward side of the throttle body. The Shelby was unique in that it had a special fan assembly, and there may be a problem. I've never seen this wiring for sale. You may be stuck getting a hand-made line for it. I'll dig around this weekend and see what else I can find out.
