 Subject: tranny on 1998

with the 1998 dakota, 4x4, V8, how is the tranny ? i was looking at a used one, and when i would go into reverse, it would "clunk" a little... is this normal or should the tranny be looked at ? it got 67,000 miles on it... thx

I don't know if its normal but I just bought a 98 Dakota with the same mileage and it does exactly what you are describing.
