 Subject: Is this under warrenty?

A friend of mine pointed out to me the other day a worn or indinted spot on my hood where apparently may wipers had been hitting. It is not really bad but still... I have 31000 miles. Is this covered under warrenty and if so can I get a new hood?

I dont think body damage is covered under DC warranty. Try you car insurance company, tell them it was hit by a rock from a big rig.

if it was becuse of a defect in the truck the warenty should cover it i had to have my bed repainted becuse the factory bed liner was not instaled right

Same thing happened to my 02 QC. Stealership re-indexed wiper under warranty and dropped a dab of touch up on the shiny spot where the wiper was hitting the hood. Two weeks later, the touch up paint had flaked off and the hood had a rust spot where the shiny spot used to be. Took it to stealership ... they said that's the best they could do. I hate Dodge dealerships. Everything has to be a big damn hassle. Why can't they just fix it and have me be happy (and likely to buy another Dodge), instead of give me the runaround til I go buy a new F-150?

You tell your insurance company anything and get a check out of
them your rates are gonna go up I bet. Not to mention if you
have a deductible.

I just went through the same thing with my 03 QC, and yes it is covered under warranty. The dealership I go to has no body shop so they contract out the work to a local shop. The dealer ordered a new arm and had the body shop do the repair. They re-positioned the hood forward to avoid future contact, repainted the bare spot and re-clearcoated the entire hood. The body shop even had the dealer replace my chrome grill (under warranty) because there were some imperfections in the base plastic that showed through the chrome.

Well,I guess I'll have to check with my dealership.Last time I went up there, they made me wait 3 hrs to tell me they did not have the part and had to order it. I had even told them what part it needed when I brought it in. They couldn't check on it then? Anyway, Thanks guys!
