How do the Goodyear Fortera's compare against the Yokohama Geolander H/T-S? Obviously the fortera is a overpriced tire but I am also looking at ride quality and noise.
By the way..thanks Dodge for putting an odd tires size on the dakota sport. 255/65-16.

Goodyear tires are horrible. Don't get any tires until you get the ball joints replaced or you'll just wear the new ones out.

I can't comment on the Goodyear tire. However, last summer I bought the Geolander's when I upgraded to a 17" rim on my SLT 4X4. I was a bit worried because the tread seemed so aggressive and I wanted a smooth, quiet ride. There was nothing to be concerned about. Very nice tires. Not cheap but well worth it. I would definitely buy another set. I really like 'em. Look cool too!

I have a set of Fortera's on a 4x4 Jeep Cherokee. When the RT/S's wore out I wanted an upgrade. The Fortera's are quieter on the highway and have better traction- they are an improvement over the RT/S's. The Jeep does minimal offroad driving. I have a set RT/S's on a 96 Dakota- they are a vast improvement over the stock Invicta's and the first upgrade of Wrangler radials. You should check the Tire rack for pricing. The Fortera's from the Tire rack were cheaper than the local dealers even after I paid for installation and balancing. I have driven on Yokohama's in an old plymouth champ- they handled very well for a POS car.
