Message: People talk about how the manufacturer doesn't like to fix (especially for free) almost defective designs. Such as ball joints, etc.
Today I checked my mail and Nissan sent me a letter about my car (the one I traded in last year for my Dakota). It was a 2001 and that would make it 3 years old now. They said the window regulators (I had electric) have been known to have problems in certain hot climates. Since I lived in Arizona they sent me the letter. It said just to take it to the dealer and all 4 window regulators would be replaced to a new style for free. Wow. That's not really even a safetly issue and they stepped up to the plate on that one. Too bad they don't realize I traded the car in.
I hope Dodge will step up to the plate when they find design flaws in their engineering.
