Has anyone figured out how to hook up that gate open light they use on Durangos? I know some mechanic here has tried to fiddle with it, sooner or later some one has to figure out if it can be done... I hope..

Funny you should ask. I have a tonneau cover so I can't see if my tail gate is open or not from the cab.
One day my dumb a** left the gate down. After pulling off in an intersection and guy flagged me down and told me I just lost a big red box. MY TOOLS!! All $1000 dollars worth! I turned around and within 4 minutes someone had picked them up. I put up signs at the intersection hoping some honest Joe picked them up and would call me.. no luck. Soooo, if I wasn't an idiot or if I had an idiot proof warning, like the gate open light, I might be $1000 richer today!
I'm sure I'll never do it again however, I'd still love to hook that light up!
