just bought 1998 dakota sport 4x4 magnum V8 5.2 club cab not to long ago. 93,000 miles. has been running great, sometimes my check engine light comes on but eventually goes off. and just today my brake light came on. checked the transmission fluid and brake fluid , but both are fine. any ideas?????

Is your spedometer intermittent too? Sounds like a rear wheel speed sensor going out to me. At least those were my symptoms when it went bad. It's a $40 part you can change it yourself. It sits on top of the differential.
