 Subject: ambient temp sensor?

I need an outside temp sensor for my Dak, 01 model. I think most are the same. It's for the overhead computer.
AutoZone says they don't carry it.
Some Daks come with one, and no O/H computer to read it. Want to sell yours?
Any suggestions?

I use thermosisters for my computer. Basically it's just a resister inline. If you could find out the resistance value for the factory one you could probably make your own. I don't know that for a fact but I'd guess. Also, it's pretty simply technology so MAYBE DC wouldn't charge an arm and a leg for one. Have you called a dealer to check on a factory price for the part? If I recall you stated that you already have the wiring in place...

I hope the wiring is there. Others had said the wiring for that sensor is there. The PCI bus already had all the other modes for the O/H computer. When I hooked it up, it gave me a DTE, distance till empty, etc.
NO, I haven't checked any junk yards. I'll check the dealer, then, Junk yards if needed.

It's on the vertical frame bar, passinger side of the radiator, kinda by the headlight to I guess.
