 Subject: Rack and Pinion Bushings

Has anybody replaced the rubber mounting bushings on a Dakota Rack and pinion assy? I need to replace these because they are disintegrating (peeling, chipping, cracking). It looks like I can do them one at a time and not change alignment or anything else that affects the front end. Need some expert advice before I try this...

As long as you don't touch anything else, you won't have to align the front end. You could shift the rack to one side or the other a little, which would change your steering wheel position a little. But that's easy enough to adjust.
