Make sure you buy a good kit. Cheaper remote start systems can scew up your electronic systems. I had a $40 remote starter system installed on my 1997 Grand Prix and it's caused a lot of other functions on my car to go haywire. Now it doesn't even work. The local sound shop here says to stay away from the cheaper kits.

steer clear of the cheaper alarms. Bulldog Security sells one real cheap and it doesnt work worth a darn. the instruction manual it comes with has several errors in it-one causes the starter to reengage after starting.

Sounds like the kit you need is the Add-on by Stellar. This is a branch off of Autoloc and they're well known. I installed this on mine, but with the additional keyless entry. You can put it in with factory wiring though, I think you have to hit your lock button 3 times and it will crank right up. When I got it, it ran about $80 but now it's only $60, go to WWW.AUTOTECHALARMS.COM
These people are really helpful.
