Message: Make sure you buy a good kit. Cheaper remote start systems can scew up your electronic systems. I had a $40 remote starter system installed on my 1997 Grand Prix and it's caused a lot of other functions on my car to go haywire. Now it doesn't even work. The local sound shop here says to stay away from the cheaper kits.

Message: steer clear of the cheaper alarms. Bulldog Security sells one real cheap and it doesnt work worth a darn. the instruction manual it comes with has several errors in it-one causes the starter to reengage after starting.

Message: Sounds like the kit you need is the Add-on by Stellar. This is a branch off of Autoloc and they're well known. I installed this on mine, but with the additional keyless entry. You can put it in with factory wiring though, I think you have to hit your lock button 3 times and it will crank right up. When I got it, it ran about $80 but now it's only $60, go to WWW.AUTOTECHALARMS.COM
These people are really helpful.
