Subject: genIII seats in 93 IP: Logged
Message: What's up guys and gals,
I was wondering if any of the seats from the GenIII seats could fit into a 93 club cab. I'd be willing to do a little modification to make them fit. Has anyone attempted this or succesfully done this.
Big thanks,
Joe Romeo

Message: yes as a matter of fact i just put in a set last summer..you will have to take the seat tracks off of your 93 seats and use them as the gen3 don't line up..then all i did was used a piece of flat steel..and to adapt the 94 seat stracks to the gen3 seats...the only prob i had was mounting the center seat..so for now i just have it set in..til it warms back up...and i put on my supercharger!! hope this helps...any ?'s just ask!! mike

Message: I've got them done for my '95 also. Basically what Mike said. Use the brackets off your Gen II seats. I'd go with a center console, then you don't have to worry about the center seat.

Message: Thanks guys. This looks like a future project for sure.
b1llyw, I took a look at your 95 project pictures and see that you have bucket seats. How are they as far as comfort & support? Right now I have the split bench, which seems to be most common in the gen II trucks. The buckets might be another option and direct fit (I assume).

Message: Buckets are definitely the way to go for comfort. Much more support. I'm swapping in the Gen III buckets because my factory ones were shot (previous owner must have been a lardass).
